Your Baby’s Natural Beauty vs Artificial Perfection

I am so tired of “perfect” photos. From social media filters, to heavily photoshopped magazine images and everything in between, I find myself craving something that feels more real. You with me?

My core philosophy as a newborn and baby photographer is to show the real story. I believe there is power and beauty in authenticity. When I was searching for a newborn photographer for my baby 3 years ago, I struggled to find someone who didn’t showcase glossy, smoothed baby skin. (I didn’t actually ever hire a newborn photographer because I was frustrated with the available options not being in my style. I opted to do my own as I had been doing newborn photography for over a decade. Still regret not hiring someone. But that’s a story for another day).

Tiny details like the fuzzy body hair, peeling skin, and little birthmarks are my absolute favorite. I will not smooth your baby’s skin at any age, but especially not all those newborn details that fade away so quickly. I invite you to celebrate and honor your baby as perfect as they are with me.
