When to Book a Newborn Session

If you’re wondering when to schedule a newborn session, that likely means you are pregnant. So first of all, congratulations! You probably see many photos of little newborns while scrolling and hear how fast they grow and how important photos are. You’ve also probably heard that newborn photos should be done in the first 2 weeks of your baby's arrival.  But when do you get these sessions scheduled when you have no idea when your baby will actually arrive?

The Earlier The Better!

You can reach out and schedule your session with me as soon as you’ve had your first ultrasound, usually 10-12 weeks to get a confirmed due date. I only take a limited number of sessions per month to allow flexibility in scheduling, so the earlier you reach out the better chance you have of my availability. (Worried about pregnancy loss? I hear you. Your booking fee is 100% refundable in the event of a loss. I’ve been there and I will never hold that against you).

What If My Baby Isn’t Born On The Due Date?

Hardly any babies are born on their due date! Newborn photography is unique in its scheduling as I schedule you for your due date as a placeholder, and then you let me know in the first few days of your baby's arrival and I will get you scheduled within 2 weeks of baby’s birthdate.

My Baby Just Arrived, Is It Too Late?

Please still reach out! I do leave a little extra space in my schedule for last minute sessions, so please don’t feel like you have to miss out on newborn photos with me because your baby was already born.

Book your session by reaching out here! I can’t wait to work with you.
